Hello Hivians. I hope you're all doing well today.
To begin my day, I made this wildlife drawing depicting a lion standing in a field/grassland. I use grasses for most drawings with lions because lions love to live in grasslands especially those with dry and poor vegetation. The aim of this drawing was to improve myself on fur drawing and detailing.
I used a black ball point pen and pelican paper for this drawing. Here are the steps involved.
Firstly, I drew the outline of the lion and added all it's facial features. I also drew the pattern of fur flow in this stage.
Afterwards,I began shading and adding tones to its face.
Finally, I added details to its mane and remaining parts of its body. I also drew the grasses around to depict a grassland.
