Just some few hours ago, the world's number of death caused by Covid-19 jumped to Two hundred and two thousand (202,000) deaths from 100,000 death in April 11th, just 15 days ago. The numbers of those infected doesnt seem to be slowing down globally, same as the number of deaths.
This new record of mortality set by Covid-19 has resulted in extension of lockdowns nations around the world to and consideration of other safety measures by nations around the world to ensure lesser numbers of those infected by the virus.
We crossed the first One thousandth case of Covid-19 here just two days ago and this has somehow resulted in the pandemic being taken seriously overnight. Suddenly most folks began using nose masks and gloves when going out and have their hand sanitizers with them at all time.
I'll be going out later this today with a few of my colleagues from the Postgraduate school where I study, to create awareness on the virus, how it can be spread,ways to prevent its spread and also to distribute some relief materials to those who we feel need them the most. We would be observing all safety regulations such as social distancing, disinfecting our hands and self regularly and also the use of nose masks. We just began our fourth week of lockdown and this seems like the least we could do as a service to our commuinity before things becomes more serious that its being predicted to be here.
