Hello steemers, Today i want to show you a coin with some new features for 2018. These new features are what convinced me to pick one up and give them another try again. The Canadian mint produces really pure bullion coins and cool design. The problem with these coins are known as "milk spots." Milk spots don't really hurt the silver in the coin but it's not very pretty. The design was the second factor, It's different and reminds me of a $2.50 Indian gold coin.
Here's my new pick-up, a 2018 Canadian Incuse Maple. The 2018 Canadian Incuse Maple leaf coin features a beautiful incuse design to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the silver Maple leaf coin. This coin has The latest efforts by the Royal Canadian Mint to enhance the quality of its silver bullion with the introduction of Mintshield technology. This technology is found on all 2018 dated Silver Maple Leaf coins, this invisible barrier is applied to the surface of coins to help prevent “white spots” from developing during production and storage of silver bullion coins.
On the obverse of all 2018 Canadian Silver Maple leaf coins is the image of Queen Elizabeth II. The incuse design is the complete reverse design. All high points in the image are low areas of this coin. This gives the coin a complete opposite look.
The reverse of the 2018 1 oz Canadian Silver Incuse Maple Leaf shows the common sugar maple leaf design, which for this year has been struck in incuse fashion on the coin. Engravings on this face include the country of issue, purity, metal content, and weight of the coin.
I really like the look of this coin. Being a incuse design the fields of the coin are frosted and the low points are proof like on the face of the Queen. Yes it's pretty silver. Lol Hope you enjoyed the new Maple. Thanks for stopping by and viewing. I am a proud member of the #steemsilvergold and ssg-community.
