Hello steemers, Today i have some Spanish pirate booty to share with you. Keeping up with the Sunday theme i have my #piratesunday piece for you to see. This weeks treasure was bartered for during the South American leg of our journey.
While at port i came across a mate that was luring in weary travels for beers with lime and tacos. After some food and a siesta i settled up with the cantina operator. I used a bottle of rum as barter and he was so happy he gave me this piece.
I was unsure what it was. He didn't speak much the whole time i was there but he said "Platua Muerta" after handing this piece. Still not understanding what he said i took the piece for inspection during another leg of my journey. Now off to more adventure abroad.
After further inspection the piece is a Dead Silver "Platua Muerta" 25 gram pour silver button. The front has a skull with a ladder like border design that you can tell was hand poured.
The back of the button says it's made by YPS Yeager Poured Silver. It's weight 25 grams and purity .999 fine silver.
