Hello steemers, Today i want to share a cool coin from the Australian Lunar series. The Lunar series has been in production for 10 years. This popular Australia coin series is minted by the Perth mint. I pick this coin up as a part of an order i needed to spend $7.00 to get free shipping. This coin has been on my radar but premium kept me away, now i had an excuse. Lol I really like this coin because it reminds me of childhood visits to a family friends farm.
Here's my Chicken coin.
In 2017 this series introduced the Year of the Rooster coin. This bullion coin is available in a range of weights that start with this 2017 1/2 oz Australian Silver Rooster coin, and goes up to 10 ounces.
The obverse of each Year of the Rooster coin you’ll find the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This coin contains 1/2 oz of .999 pure silver and bears a face value of $.50 backed by the federal government of Australia.
On the reverse of the Silver Rooster coin is the unique Year of the Rooster design with a rooster, hens and chics. Engravings on this side include the Chinese symbol for rooster and the phrase “Year of the Rooster.” Hope you enjoyed my chicken coin. Thanks for stopping by and viewing. I'm a proud member of the #steemsilvergold and ssg-community.
