The only reason LEOF would abandon HIVE if it stops solving their problems & stops providing opportunities.

And I don't see that happening because this community is close-knit & tight. Many LEO Hodlers are Hive HODLers too. The reason why Leo Finance is so successful because "interoperability" is their core value. So imo, it will only expand to other Blockchains and connect them with HIVE rather than parting ways from it.
