If you've ever found yourself staring at a blank screen and unable to form a coherent thought, then congratulations - you're a writer. 馃槀
The good news is that there are different ways to write faster, and I'm going to tell them to you right now!
Will keep this short, simple and sweet.
Planning your blog posts before you write them is the best way to make sure that they're actually going to be good. It will help you:
Set a timer for 20 minutes. Write as much as you can in that time, and then stop.
When the timer goes off, take a break for at least 5 minutes before coming back to your writing.
When you come back from your break, write another 20 minutes on top of what you did before. Again take a break of 5 minutes, come back and start editing.
To make sure you're focused on the task at hand, try to do the following things:
You want to be a good writer but you get distracted easily. Sometimes you are not in a situation to get solitutde for doing the job at hand. The best way to start writing a blog post is by starting.
Start writing anywhere. Don't just care about the place. If you are in a setting where everyone is a stranger then most probably they won't even care what you are doing. If you are in a setting where everyone around you is family or friends, then they would understand that you need to get shit done!!
"Starting writing anywhere" also means you can pick any section of the blog and start writing. The sequence of writing doesn't matter. You can always move things up and down while editing.
Start with a title, an outline, a first draft, or even a blank page. It doesn鈥檛 matter where you begin because the important thing is getting started.
You could even start with a template if that makes it easier for you to get started on your blog post quickly!
I always write down the Title and Subtitles and create an outline to start with. It can:
You should write at the time of day when you are at your best. For example, if you're a morning person, write in the morning. If you're a night owl, write in the night. Whatever works. If you are stressed or not feeling good then you will not be able to bring your thoughts on paper or your screen.
The point is to be efficient. And if you're the kind of person who can't write unless the house is quiet and the coffee pot has gone cold and the cat isn't licking himself in the corner (that would be me), then try to set yourself up for success by writing during your most productive hour.
Writing faster is important for any blogger, but it鈥檚 even more crucial for those who have a lot on their plate and little time to spare. Whether you鈥檙e trying to meet a deadline or just want to improve your productivity, these tips can help you write faster and better. Lemino what works for you. See you in the next one mates. Cheers!
