I am currently traveling and changing cities almost everyday for the past two weeks. Combining holiday and work both, it's been hectic and it's been fun. Had ZERO plans to make a post today but I couldn't stop myself from staying awake after a shit tiring day just to write this. A few hours ago, @leofinance announced the winner of the design contest for the LeoMobile V1 App Store layout. Never got so many mentions in a single day. 馃槀 The only time I get more than 10 notifications within a few minutes is when I make a post. Such an overwhelming response from everyone. 鉂わ笍 Thank you so much guys for appreciating my work. It motivates me to do more and more. Also, want to take this opportunity to applaud everyone who participated. All of the entries were awesome AF!!!
I am feeling so proud that my designs will be seen by everyone who visits LeoMobile page on Apple App Store & Google Play Store. It's a fucking huge deal for me! At the same time, feeling a bit strange because I didn't imagine winning the contest. Did it out of fun and my love for LeoFinance. $500 is the cherry on the cake and it should help me crush my Leo Power goals. LPUD is coming, watch out for me guys. xD Looks like all those graphic design lessons I took on Youtube in the past 2-3 years are paying off really well now and I must take this shit seriously. This one skill helps me a lot daily in my work and in my personal life as well. I don't buy wall arts from the market. I create them on Canva and print. xD
The moment I read the announcement post about the contest, I almost knew what I had to do. Considered this as a paid freelance job and put all of my heart and soul into it. Having no prior experience in making these layouts, I took an hour to find and try various tools available online. Ultimately used Canva to make the first image that says "Earn Your First Crypto In 5 Minutes" and AppMockUp for the rest of the images. Both of them are pretty easy to operate, just need a little bit of creativity (actually, lots of it). I say it all the time - "you don't need to be pro at photoshop to become a pro graphic designer"
These are the reasons why I had an edge over others:
All in all, it was a great learning experience for me. Now I must go on Fiverr/Upwork and publish a gig where I will make such layouts for other app owners. That'd be a really cool freelancing business to crack. xD
