Yesterday i made a post about the Winter that is coming which will be harsh for the vast majority of citizens in mostly every country. The post was basically about how everything is up like the gas and electricity prices as well as the food costs. In other words, the cost of living has skyrocketed while the salaries remained the same.
Of course, the main reason behind this is due to the war as well as the bad politics our politicians are following. Truth to be told there is always something that lies deeper and ofc we don't know about it that is primarily driven by greed. I have no clue what the exact plan or plans are and i am not a conspiracy theorist either, i tend to be a realist.
So let's get to the main point and see what will i do and ofc i want all of you to share as well about your plans to survive this winter. Now you can name it a financial crisis, you can name it a gas crisis or whatever you want, it's a crisis that makes us lose money and that's a fact.
As far as it concerns me, especially after listening today that the electricity is up x10 after the already x2 increase i am seriously starting to think of what should i do. The government said that will help us by paying up to 90% of that increase but because i have trust issues with any politicians i need to see what i can do.
First of all, i will try not to use that much electricity and what i mean by that is that the lights will be closed when needed, the air condition will not open at all, TV will be off and even if it's a little bit cold in the house i will basically wear more clothes. The heaters will only open if we can't handle the cold and only after the first bill arrives so that we have an idea of the amounts that we will need to pay.
Aside from this, i will narrow down my food purchases and start eating less, it's a good time to lose some weight as well. I strongly believe and it's actually a fact that not the only USA but Europe and in general most of the countries waste too much food. Not only we should put an end to this but we need to find ways to use the food that is going to get thrown in the garbage.
Finally, i will try to keep a stable or even increase my activity on Hive. Even if cryptos and generally the markets are down i believe that eventually we see a big pump and i also strongly believe in the future of Hive. We lack some things like marketing for example but still, the tech is here and also a strong community. More and more projects are coming into Hive and i believe sooner or later we gonna see the next Splinterlands.
I want to continue increasing my HP, LP and generally some of my Hive tokens and i think of it like my retirement plan. Nowadays it can also be a savings account that will help me if that crisis or the next one proves worse than my wallet can handle. At the same time, i think it's cool that i can help others by curating or simply by talking to them during these troubled times.
