If you're talking about dollar cost averaging…and you plan on staying in the market for 10 to 20 years, and you have enough cash and income to pay for your expenses and debt service payments for the next 24 months, then yes, you're correct, buying here won't make that much of a difference.

But if you don't want pain for the next 24 months…because BTC (crypto) declines in value by another 30%...and you don't have an emergency fund, and are living paycheck-to-paycheck, then now is a terrible time to buy financial assets.
