My grandad was a master woodcarver, but he died before I was old enough to learn much. He used to make the frames for my dad's paintings, and they were pieces of art in and of themselves.

I have been looking at one potential frame for my latest piece. at the moment they don't have enough of wood for my favorite frame and I have no idea when they will get it. So I will likely go with a frame I have selected as a second choice. It looks really good as well. Still it is a sad that I can't get the first choice. That frame would had been very nicely carved and I think would make my piece look even better. But at least if I will go with plan B it will be a bit cheaper.
