At first I thought that those are some very brave ducks. But after you said that they were sleeping that made more sense. Also for some reason this made me think about domestication of animals and about whatever that was a good thing-for them. Sure they may prefer having a shelter and food delivery. But at the same time their survival is now closely tied to survival of humans. Those animals depend on humans. And since humans are likely to kill one another until there will be no more humanity that makes me wonder how those animals will survive once we will be gone.
