life expectancy in Finland being the highest it has ever been

I think that long life expectancy is both nice and bad. Most people would prefer to live a long life but I would hate to live so long that I could no longer walk or eat for myself. Doctors are saying that they may need to cut leg(or was it foot?) of our favorite neighbor's husband. He is older than her and she is 79 years old. But I don't think that I would want to live after losing an arm or a leg either. And I definetly would not want to keep living if I had Alzheimer's disease or was paralyzed...
