This sock had holes at the ball of the foot and at the heel. Some sock wool and a darning needle will fix things. The picture above shows the long threads laid over the hole to form the warp for the weaving. Next, I weave over and under those warp threads to form a patch.
Another small item is saved from the scrap bag. Here is the repaired sole, with both darns.
