On May 31 I did this with an old satin sheet, working around a faded spot:

And , no surprise to my followers, here is yet another sock beginning:
This latest sock is for next to my seat on the porch and will stay in the knitting basket because of all the balls of yarn in different colors. NOT a portable project. The colors are a bit light in the photo, but are really a navy background with bright blue and dark green argyle diamonds. I will use duplicate stitch to put in the skinny diagonal lines later. The colors are close to the colors of the Douglas tartan.
