After a long week of putting things to order, i thought a road trip should sparkle the weekend, So i set off for this beautiful ancient town called Idanre, which happens to be my native Home town.
Idanre is town surrounded by its magnificent hills. The hill of Idanre is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Nigeria. It includes such cultural sites as "Owa's Palace, Shrines, Old Court, Belfry, Agbooogun footprint, thunder water (Omi Apaara) and burial mounds and grounds". I was actually unable to get to those places coz the plan was just to drive round. It resides 3,000 ft (910 m) above sea level and houses a unique ecosystem upon which the cultural landscape has integrate.
The people of the town lived on top of the highest hill thousands of years back but when they increased in population they had move down the valley.
Well i spent some minutes driving round so i thought to share.
