Today, August 24, 2026, I want to know if I can really be happy again.
My happiness has been gone for a long time, and I just wish I could find it again. My name is Maranatha. I am the first child and the first daughter in my family. I have experienced a lot of pain from friends and family, and the only hope I had was my boyfriend. I thought he was going to help me find my happiness again, but I was wrong. He betrayed my trust.
Anyway, I will say that this is just life for me. My dad told me when I was young that happiness is free. But is happiness really free? And will it last? Those are the questions I have been thinking about.
Will this happiness last the way I want it to? Where will I find this happiness?
Since I was 13 years old, I have been searching for happiness. Now I am 22, and I am still searching for it.
Sometimes I wonder if I will ever truly be happy again. I just want to know what it feels like to have genuine happiness—to wake up without carrying so much pain in my heart and to feel at peace with myself.
Maybe happiness isn't something I have to find in another person. Maybe, little by little, I can find it within myself and build it again, even after everything I have been through.
