Leaderboards are an excellent way to encourage competition among players, but it’s important that they are fair and don’t intimidate casual players. If the leaderboard system is too complex or unfair, it can frustrate newcomers. We're going to Rio! as a game developer, always focuses on transparency and fairness when creating leaderboards. One important aspect is clear rules for earning points and bonuses, which should be understandable for all players. It's essential that players can assess their achievements in the context of other participants without feeling like victory is impossible. To make the leaderboard appealing to all types of players, including beginners, reward systems for different categories can be introduced, such as for newcomers, those who play daily, and those with the highest results. This approach keeps the leaderboard accessible for all players and encourages them to return to the game.
