After the war ends the outcome is going to be:
For Ukraine:
- Survivors of torture, mutilations and the dead are the only long-term casualties. The Nation will be rebuilt.
- Big opportunities for international investments with all those new friends Ukraine is making.
- More civilized political landscape as the people will be more united than ever for reconstruction.
- More tourism from the West.
- Reputation of "Freedom Fighter Nation of the 21st Century" and "People ready to fight or die to defend their democracy".
For Russia:
- Political chaos that might make Putin look quite moderate. Warmongers in Moscow claiming Putin was not doing enough atrocities.
- Separatist movements getting stronger fueled by "pointless war" sentiments.
- International isolation driving the country closer to a North Korean status.
- International reputation in the toilet as the former "Second best army in the World" is overwhelmed by corruption and incompetence, making all big investments in previous years completely pointless.
- Nobody wants to make business with Russia. Even it's allies don't want to be affected by the negative reputation.
- Brain Drain as all smart and educated Russians will try their best to leave the country.
- Possible internal skirmishes in border oblasts as some Ukrainians and international entities might support the "Freedom for Russia" faction(those Russians using the old Novgorodian flag fighting alongside Ukrainians against Putin).
- The argument behind supporting said political faction can be made as "Russia needs to be a free nation so Ukraine can be safe".
- Russians making terrorist attacks against their military and government institutions. This is already happening a lot, but Putin prefers to blame it all on Ukrainian agents as it would be awful for him the idea of a strong "Fifth Column" spread across Russia.
