The minimum amount you can send by PIX is a cent with an optional attached message. There are currently no fees among multiple banks transfers although our current president wants to tax it someday. It takes mostly 5 seconds to have it on your account once is sent.

Since bills can have PIX QR codes, companies here are mostly providing it PIX link for quick payment of fee, like Water, Phone or Power Bill.
