Un poco m谩s al sur de ac谩, se puede tomar un paseo espectacular (con auto alquilado) y manejar por un par de horas dentro de la A1A, una trayectoria en carretera que bordea la costa este de Florida y que culmina en Cabo Ca帽averal, justo despu茅s de pasar la entrada al Kennedy Space Center, lugar desde donde se lanzan cohetes al espacio. Si tiene la oportunidad de hacer 茅ste recorrido, no la deje pasar.
聽聽聽聽聽Pero venimos hablar de pelota y es que los Mets de New York decepcionaron, una vez m谩s, la temporada pasada cuando los especialistas le daban una mejor posici贸n que el pen煤ltimo lugar de la divisi贸n. Jugaron para balance de 75 ganados y 87 perdidos en una de las actuaciones m谩s tristes de su historia. Principalmente porque es un equipo con mucho talento y, m谩s a煤n, nadie se logra explicar que pasa por la cabeza de los jugadores cuando hay tanto potencial y no se ejecuta el plan de ganar.

A little further south of here, you can take a spectacular drive (with a rental car) and drive for a couple of hours on A1A, a highway that runs along the east coast of Florida and culminates at Cape Canaveral, just past the entrance to the Kennedy Space Center, where rockets are launched into space. If you have the opportunity to take this tour, don't miss it.

Le acompa帽ar谩n cuatro venezolanos en el roster y ellos son: Francisco 脕lvarez, Omar Narv谩ez, Jos茅 Butt贸 y Luisangel Acu帽a. El catcher titular indiscutido es Francisco 脕lvarez, quien va a su segundo a帽o detr谩s del plato. Su l铆nea ofensiva fue de AVE .209, 25 cuadrangulares y 63 carreras impulsadas en apenas 382 turnos al bate (驴imaginan cuanto jonrones habr铆a bateado si consum铆a los m谩s de 500 turnos en promedio de una temporada?) 驴Lo malo? Se poncha demasiado y fue lo que impidi贸 ver m谩s turnos al bate.

They collectively pitched for EFE's of 4.30 ranking nineteenth out of 30 teams and had injury problems that were difficult to overcome when most needed. At bats they did worse. Collectively they hit for an AVE of .238 and with that they only ranked twenty-fifth out of 30. A roster with that kind of offensive talent should be hitting much better, but it is one thing to have potential and quite another to show it. Potential alone is not enough to get anywhere.
聽聽聽聽聽Carlos Mendoza becomes the fourth major league venezuelan manager in history and will have an enormous responsibility at the helm of the Mets. He will be joined by four Venezuelans on the roster and they are: Francisco 脕lvarez, Omar Narv谩ez, Jos茅 Butt贸 and Luisangel Acu帽a. The undisputed starting catcher is Francisco 脕lvarez, who is in his second year behind the plate. His offensive line was AVE .209, 25 homers and 63 RBIs in just 382 at-bats (can you imagine how many home runs he would have hit if he averaged more than 500 at-bats in a season?) The downside? He struck out too much and that's what prevented him from seeing more at-bats.

As铆 que su puesto no se ver谩 en peligro a pesar de haber tenido l铆nea ofensiva de .211, 2 cuadrangulares y 11 impulsadas en 128 turnos. Jos茅 Butt贸 es un abridor derecho subido en Septiembre del a帽o pasado y est谩 protegido en el roster. Pero deber谩 intentar hacer el equipo si no desea ser bajado de nuevo: abri贸 7 juegos, gan贸 1 y perdi贸 4 con EFE de 3.64. En 茅sta primavera no le han hecho carreras en un par de innings.

El a帽o pasado se tom贸 un cafecito con los Rangers de Texas y tom贸 22 turnos con 9 hits, incluyendo un jonr贸n, para AVE de .364 y 茅ste spring training batea para AVE .429 en siete turnos. Es mejor conocido por ser hermano de Ronald Acu帽a Jr. quien dice de Luisangel es mejor pelotero que 茅l. Potencial puro en la punta de un bate necesario para los Mets, pero deber谩 hacer el equipo como todos 驴Podr谩n los Mets superar lo hecho el a帽o pasado? So his spot will not be in jeopardy despite having a .211 offensive line, 2 homers and 11 RBIs in 128 innings. Jose Butto is a right-handed starter moved up in September last year and is protected on the roster.
