Now I am in the mood to use your poem to translate it into my own language as well, into haikus:

Where else
Not in the moon

in die boom sit kat
die kat sit daar waar anders dan
nie op die maan nie

A cat is sitting in a tree
I guess it'll catch a cold soon
Maybe it's already stepping down

in die boom sit kat
ek wonder of dit siek is
miskien kom hy af

A cat is sitting in a tree
As in other trees too
In every tree there's a cat sitting

in die boom sit kat
ook in die ander bome
sit die katte nog

Those poems are almost nonsensical! But it is fun to mess around with language like this.
