Lord, teach me to be generous,
to give without calculation,
to return good for evil,
to serve without expecting reward,
to approach the one that pleases me least,
to do good to which nothing can reward me to always love for free,
to work without worrying of rest.

And, having nothing else to give
to donate in everything and increasingly
to the one who needs me waiting
only for you the reward.
Or better: hoping that You yourself are my reward.

Generosity, as an act of giving and sharing with others, is a quality that we should all encourage. We should practice generosity as a norm of life, we generally think that we should practice generosity in times of natural disasters, in which it is essential and that is when humanitarian aid is most needed, but to make a habit in our daily lives. True Christians do not sit idly by waiting for times of need to arise, but instead seek opportunities to act.
You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. (2 Corinthians 9:11)
The word of God tells us. God will give us the necessary means to help those who need it, but we must be willing to do so. The apostle Paul presents us with generosity:
And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. (Hebrews 13:16).

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. (Luke 6:38)

Generosity is more effective if what is given to the other person is important to his, so it is advisable to analyze what he would like to receive the other person to help his improve his situation, lifestyle, etc. Without this representing a humiliation for his but allowing his to grow.
