This year's Steam summer sale looks like a mess, so here's a step-by-step guide to actually enjoying it.
Members of the top three teams might get the first 3 items on their wishlist when the event is over. Don't forget to organize your own wishlist, just in case. If you're not in a team yet, pick Corgi. They're far ahead so it's a guaranteed win.
You can turn 15 thousand tokens into a discount coupon. You can use it to get paid games for free or lower the price of any game you want even if it's already on sale.
So you want tokens. Event points turn into tokens, up to a certain limit. Points past that limit can't be converted into tokens. Buying games increases that limit. Your initial tokens and limit are defined by how much you've spent since the last Lunar event.
Every point you earn by doing the event missions (do stuff in certain games, as pointed out on the event page) can be turned into tokens if it's below your limit. Just go to the event page and click boost. Doing that will convert your points into tokens, which you can check out on the Pit Stop page.
Getting achievements will also earn you points. Personal recommendation: buy games from the ZUP series. It's very cheap, it will earn you thousands of points through hundreds of easy achievements, and also a few steam cards, all in around 30 minutes playtime.
