There was this post I wrote a few years ago talking about gay pride. I said how that pride was wrongly associated with sexuality. I explained how that pride comes from overcoming hardships in life that only happened because of a person being gay, like being kicked out of the house. So the person should be proud of getting through all of that, but thanks to their character and willpower. A feat like this happens because of inner strenght, and it should be celebrated, but it gets the sexuality label.
A few minutes later, somebody commented how my post was "homophobic" and attacked me for it.
