Being really bad at RTS, I couldn't help but not care and just jump straight to ranked mode with my friend.
We did awful. Loss after loss, we were stomped to the ground, of course, being the newbies we are. However, I could feel the strategic power growing in my veins after each match.
After 5 placement games, the ranked system told us we're Silver. Supposedly that sucks. Well, we do suck, so I guess it's appropriate. All we could do is win a single game after 7 tries!
When we did win, it was epic (to me, my friend couldn't really care). I held the middle of the map with tanks and flamethrowing cars while my duo rushed some technlogy upgrades and built gigant carriers.
All in all, I had a lot of fun. I really like winning, but losing is just a part of stepping up my game so I can become better and finally win after a lot of thrilling combat, reflexes, microing and decision making. It's superb.
