How to maintain a distance relationship
Hello friends of stemit today I bring this issue that lives today some of the Venezuelans who many times separated by seeking economic help in another country. No one has said that distance relationships are easy, but it also means that they have to be ruined. With the right commitment and communication, distance relationships can be more stable than geographically close ones. Simple modifications in your attitude and lifestyle can help you keep your loved one in your life. Preserve normality when possible.
1 Keep in touch. Because you will not be seen in person, it is important to establish and maintain an emotional connection as often as possible. These should not always be long and deep conversations. Frequent communication, no matter how insignificant, will show that they are sufficiently interested in investing time and effort in the relationship, and it will be easier to keep up with their lives.
2) Talk about mundane and small things. Do not believe that every conversation should be a serious discussion about your relationship, hopes or dreams. Instead, focus on the small things that couples living together would do, such as shopping, doing chores, or redecorating. This will give them the feeling of creating a home together, something that both of them can long for.
3) Visit regularly. Try to take the time to visit as often as possible or as long as your budget allows. They need to see each other in person at every opportunity. Make a schedule of regular visits or at least make plans for the next visit as soon as the last one is over. Face-to-face communication is as important as having satisfaction, commitment and trust in the relationship.
4) Try to get to know each other more. As with any relationship, they should spend time getting to know each other and understanding each other. When they speak, write down the things your partner likes most (such as their hobbies or daily activities) and do some research so that you have something else to talk about.
5) Remember that your partner is a human being. Distance increases affection, but it can also make you idealize it. While this can make the relationship stable, extreme idealization (thinking your partner is perfect) will make it more difficult to meet with the real person.
6) Support each other, even through distance. Support your partner in case you have a problem, are injured or for whatever reason. You need to be available to help her so that she knows that you care. If your partner ends up dealing with important issues alone, he will eventually stop needing you.
7) Develop confidence. Trust in a relationship is vital, regardless of distance. [Do your best to be faithful and avoid temptation. If you make a mistake, it is especially important that you be honest and tell your partner the truth in cases where lying would benefit you. For example, if you put yourself in a position of temptation (like going to a bar), lying about your whereabouts would benefit you personally, but honesty would benefit your relationship.
8) Commit yourselves to each other. Be open and honest when voluntarily revealing private information. They must commit themselves morally to each other, and continue with the relationship for personal values
and not for social pressures. Personal values
include beliefs such as "Staying faithful is part of my identity." On the other hand, social pressures imply the perception of the approval or disapproval of society. For example: "My mom would be devastated if she cheated on my girlfriend and she broke up with me".
9) Do not do anything irrational just because you are angry or upset about something she said or did. The comunication is the key. If they have a problem, then talk about it. This will strengthen your confidence and create a stronger bond. You can not maintain a relationship if you are afraid that I will do something to you because you did something to be angry.
