Though the behavior is misleading, it looks as though it was intended. Instead of scaling the time it takes for a power-down to hours and minutes, the developers choose to use days. So this can easily be fixed, but I doubt if it will be considered as a major priority.

Are you aware you can include in your reports an analysis of what possibly led to the bug? For crash cases, you can provide a logcat. This will boost your review score.
