I visited a community that thrilled me but I will tell about it.. umuoma is a part and parcel of ogbe the largest community I the ancient clan of Ahiara in imo state,Nigeria.it occupies a strategic position in ogbe Ahiara and is known to be the father of ogbe community and such has a lot of valuable attributes for which the community is know for..this community has one of the largest and most daily functional markets in Mbaise and structures like saint Patrick's secondary school,ogbe post office, central school ogbe
but more attractive is this culture they call Erigwara(neighbor visitation) after inquiry which Mr Lambert A. Anyanwu helped explain how this culture started..and he stated that it's an old tradition before the coming of Christianity that at this time of the year. Different communities visit each other as a result of being in-laws or relations to any of these neighboring community to show their love for unity and togetherness to grow in-diexpora and the coming of Christianity didn't change that fact but added more beauty to it. from the 26th of December they host one another with drinks and other entertainment like masquerade dancing and before January 2nd one most have toured round this community in ogbe and I wish to share this experience with you all on steemit. it is a place to visit anytime you come to the Eastern part of Nigeria
