"FLIES SPREAD DESEASE SO KEEP YOURS ZIPPED".
"PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE"
The aim of this inscription is to unpack presentive measures to our teaming youths against the sweet taboo that is sex. Is it really possible to avoid the pressure of pre-marital sex?
With men it is impossible but not with God; for with God, all things are possible. We need God to help us. Let us examine some strategies we can deploy by God's grace to save us from this mess.
GUIDE YOUR PRIMARY SEX ORGAN: Your primary sex organ is your mind. Avoid feeding your mind with indecent materials. Don't peruse ponographic magazines nor visit such sites on the Internet. Avoid X-rated movies and books with similar content. Remember, where the mind goes, the man goes.
AVOID FLIRTATIOUS CONVERSATIONS: Once a girl said to me, "you appear to have a very succulent body". I was a teenager then but it took time for me to recover from that conversation. Avoid such. It most times leads to indulgence.
AVOID PURPOSELY RELATIONSHIPS: Any relationship you can't define, decline. Everyone in your life must have a well-defined class: your neighbour, your colleague, your lecturer, your brother, your friend etc.
AVOID PRIVACY: Privacy is the strength of immorality. Privacy gives room for necking, petting, touching and other sexual arousal acts. If you have a decent relationship you have developed over time, perhaps a peck on the check should be as far as you can go and at that all shows of affection should be in public places or with other people around. This sounds too harsh in a sexual permissive world but will prove profitable in the long run.
SET STANDARDS : If you don't stand for something will fall for anything. Draw a line for yourself with God, HIS WORD and allow a healthy conscience to guide your affairs. Anyone who does not respect your standards, treasures his or her desires above your joy and well-being. I suggest you tell such a person off.
Save sex is exclusive for marriage. Confess your past mistakes and receive God's grace and forgiveness. Start on a clean slate!
