I'm feeling under the weather these past days and had not been posting blogs, although I was actively watching other investments I made and focusing on my job that I have a love and hate relationship with.. Love- because I love seeing my patients and being able to interact with them, they even share their wild stories with me and told me that they had never shared it to anyone else before except me. Hate- because of the amount of documentations that I need to do after seeing my patients..

Everyday, realizing the effort and time I gave, the more I realize the need to SAVE.. I worked hard for this, and yes I have to enjoy my toil.. But if I think of my future and my goals, I felt more compelled to invest and save rather than spend what I earned. Saving is paying yourself first. What do you mean??? Paying yourself first is treating savings as one of your bills that you need to pay. For me and husband, it comes next to our tithing (giving 10% to God). We can't afford to be reckless with our finances, because things can happen and does happen, for example a sick family member etc.

"But. . . I don't earn enough money"...
It doesn't really matter how much you earn, what matters is how much you save. Most of us (me included) is guilty of increasing our expenses when we have a pay raise. In the end, we didn't really felt the pay raise because our savings are still the same. We don't have to be cheap, we just need to be frugal, meaning spend our money wisely on things that really matter.

Avoid impressing others.. How many of us felt like you need something because this person has it, and so I need to have it. Most billionaires actually wear the same kind of T-shirt almost everyday like Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs. These people realized that spending too much time on thinking what clothes to wear can only waste their precious time they can spend on something important instead. (Ouch me!)

Educate yourself. I commend my husband for learning as much as he can with cryptocurrency, in return he becomes more confident using the platform. Learning does not end in school. If you see me holding a phone, I'm mostly doing research than reading stuff in social media. When Warren Buffett was asked about his reading habits he said this, "Read 500 pages like this every day. That's how knowledge works. It builds up, like compound interest. All of you can do it, but I guarantee not many of you will do it.”

Lastly, DO IT! Set aside money for your future. Invest so your money will grow. Time doesn't stop ticking, tomorrow is coming faster than expected..
