This was one of my introductions to Bourbon Whiskey many years ago. To this day I keep a bottle in the house at all times. My first impression back then was how smooth the drink was, sense then I continue to find more and better descriptions of my drams. I hope you enjoy this review, but if you have tried this bourbon let me know your initial impressions.
Legs they are slow moving spread out and relatively thin.
Nose first impression is a ripe peach on the back end it comes with a honey sweetness with an alcohol burning of the nose.
Hand smell brings out more of the sweetness it’s the honey, sugar candy syrup smell.
Taste: sweet front end more on the honey side then the sugar candy syrup. It’s got a lingering finish that’s enjoyable you get the leather tobacco earthy tones.
Mouthfeel is a bit thin. It’s safe with where it hits the different zones of the tongue. Living more on the back middle of the tongue. As it sits on the tongue it starts to move forward.
Burn at 90 proof it’s an easy drinker. It’s low on the burn scale.
Cost 24.99 a bottle
Over all reaction this bottle is great for sipping but I would generally use it for mixing. Makes a great old fashions and Manhattans.
