This probably means humans will start interacting much more in many ways — provided the robot handles unwanted tasks, freeing people to do more of what they want, which often involves other humans

That's why AI won't automatically shrink workloads as imagined—work isn't static. Many organizations have far more they could do than they do today; starting everything was previously limited by time and

RE: LeoThread 2026-06-21 06-02
Counterintuitively, as AI improves some tasks become cheap enough that it's economically viable to employ someone to run them continuously with agents, but until experimentation became low-cost such attempts

These tasks wouldn't previously have been delegated; they simply went undone because fully manual completion took too long

Seemingly small tasks often end up consuming 3 hours because agents make it easy to get started, yet the remaining work to finish the project still requires manual effort

Expectations that AI would reduce workloads haven't materialized (at least for now) AI makes it easier to explore more options than before, which leads to taking on far more as a result

Overall, a very constructive quarter for long-term prospects: accelerated FSD adoption signals growing recurring revenue potential, and the transition toward unsupervised software should materially boost

The key question is how quickly FSD revenue can scale at 80%+ margins while Robotaxi and Optimus ramps remain pending.

This outlook comes while significant CAPEX is required for Optimus, Cybercab, and Terafab — all important for long-term trajectory.

That implies about a 166 P/E at a $1T valuation on increasing software revenue and margins — a valuation that appears reasonable and could even be conservative, as seen with comparable software-heavy

By end-2027, a fleet of 5M+ cars each generating at least $99/month would add roughly $6B in annual net income, growing over time.

Over the next 12 months, the main catalyst is the expanding adoption of FSD across a growing fleet that will eventually operate unsupervised, delivering recurring revenue at 80%+ margins as regulations

A Robotaxi-capable car is worth significantly more, and even high retrofit costs could be recouped through fares. If the upgrade path is viable — which has been confirmed — the economics are compelling.

There is now clear signaling that HW3 vehicles will not reach Unsupervised. The plan appears to be discounted trade-in offers for HW3 cars that bought FSD and efforts to upgrade affected vehicles to HW4

Charging $99/month for a fully unsupervised personal chauffeur seems unlikely; the real premium opportunity is much higher.
