Hello friends
I want to tell you all about my school hostel.
I study in school of nursing and basic midwifery amachara, Abia State, Nigeria.
We are in our first semester and so we are not allowed to stay outside the school environment.
In the hostel too, we don't cook, the school cook for us only morning and night food.
We are only permitted to carry cooking utensils to different clinical postings when necessary and expected to return it home after making use of them.
We also have provisions like golden morn, garri, cornflakes and milk with Milo and all that, we eat that when we are hungry and can't wait for school food.
To be honest, staying in hostel is like living in a hell, we are 6 in a room, no space at all.
No male is allowed to come inside the hostel if seen or such should happen, the school will expel or suspend such person.
No fighting in the hostel or abusive speech and unruly behaviours both in school too.
We go out to get water for bathing at times, no steady light, no network.
All my life I have never stayed in such environments.
Every Thursday, we always clean up the school and hostel areas, mopping, sweeping, cutting of grasses and cleaning of offices before going to school.
But to be sincere, apart from the suffering in the hostel, the school is very nice, conducive for learning.
I will advice and recommend the school to every one that want to study midwifery in Nigeria.
