I don't know about other countries, but in mine things don't get better, they get worst gradually. The only way to improve is within your family. You just have to focuse on yourself and yourself alone because if you think or wait for the government then definitely things go south for you.
For me, I don't like complaining about how the government is, I just try to survive and fit in any condition they keep the country.
