Nicosia’s Green Line

The UN Buffer Zone (ordinarily called the Green Line) was set apart out in 1964 as a transitory measure to reestablish peace following a time of between mutual battling in the juvenile free country of Cyprus. The obstruction has rather remained set up from that point onward, growing to cut through the whole island after the 1974 Turkish attack and today isolating Nicosia (Lefkosia; capital of the Republic of Cyprus) from North Nicosia (Lefkoşa; capital of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, perceived just by Turkey).
