First Hive Hangout Lagos Nigeria Edition. - 2024

What an amazing year it was, 2024. I never thought I would be meeting the faces behind the famous hive account until @trojan1 suggested we have a hive hangout in Lagos for people living in that city. At first, I thought it was all a dream, but as time went on, I saw the zeal and cooperation other people were putting into it, people like @treasuree and @iam-gifted This made me realize it was going to be possible. The planning started, and more people started showing up.

After fixing a date, payments were made, and we started waiting for the main day. Excitement filled me up as the day drew near because I have always wanted to meet @zitalove. We stayed in the same city like everyone else, but I knew her first, and we have been planning to meet for years, but it wasn't possible. But thanks to the hangout, it was going to be possible. It was the first one I'd be attending. On the main day I meet with amazing people like @obaro vibes community music winner, @winanda inleo food thread lady, who's a recipe maker and a food person. A very good cook , I also met @tenesha , who is also a vibe music winner here on Hive, and that was the first time I would be interacting with her

One of my favorite people I met on that day for the first time is @king-ray. He is a very jovial person, and he made everyone laugh on that day.

Yes, the hangout wasn't just for people on hives. We had two people who were not on hives but registered on that day, and they are both sisters. I was very happy to welcome them to the #hivenaija family.

Let's not forget the VIP of the day, Someone was invited all the way from Mars to attend the hangout and he is known as my favorite alien, @fashtioluwa

One thing I learned on that day was that there are more people sitting behind all these amazing accounts. We had medical personnel, musicians, entrepreneurs, store and food eatery owners, nurses, aliens, and the list keeps going on.

I got to understand the zeal and love people have for hives for them to continue taking their time to be on hives while facing the real struggle of the real world. Loving Hive is the best.

Finally, before we all headed home, we had an eating competition in which @corneliushym emerged as the winner
