Mortal Kombat XL (PC): An esoteric journey in power-level showmanship

Mortal Kombat was rebooted in 2011. That game was sort of a comeback for the franchise. For me, Mortal Kombat 2011 was a return to form. I had become disenfranchised by the meandering quality of the Mortal Kombat games released between Mortal Kombat 3 and its 2011 reboot. I played a few of those games over the years but I never really enjoyed them as much as I did the classic ones.
