Volunteering and community development is one of the strongest point i have in my life. When i begin to reflect on life issue and challenges, i asked myself what would I be remember for after i pass on from this world? What do i have that can put a smile on someone's face? Pondering on this made me dig into the purpose of God over my life.
My passion and zeal for community development began when I was much younger pursuing my first degree in the university.

It wasn't crystal clear at that moment however i could sensed in my spirit that there's something within me rhat seeks for expression. As God would have it, i was mobilized for NYSC national Youth Service Corp. This was truly a turning point for my life. This moment became my stepping stone into my desired goal which i thought could take long but God made the opportunity available at my finger tip. We were camped for about three weeks where we were taught lots of things and i could still redefine myself again. I got light into the area God wants me to fit in.

As i resume my place of primary assignment, i had the privilege to serve in a school. I was given assitant form teacher and i discharged my duties with all honesty and sincerity such that i was retained immediately after my service year. I joined a club for community development services (CDS). I was the secretary of drug free club. This platform shoot me up to the Pinnacle of my passion. I had the privilege to reach out to the community with some selfless services like going out for sensitization, orientation and carrying out some mini projects. I served as a volunteer for NDLEA which later i was certified.

when last did i do something for others??

Immediately i passed out from NYSC I totally got engaged into humanitarian services. God helped me to raise a team of like mind where we would be going to teach out to rural and urban areas. For a couple of years I have been greatly involved in affecting people's life with what i have. The last time i had a mega outreach to a community waa first of January, 2025. I picked few of my team members and carried out this function.
Currently I serve as a volunteer to two organizations which are involved into community development services. We share items of different kinds to the people.

What i learned from the experience

I have learned so much all these years in helping humanity. Some of the things includes;

I have learned how to value people no matter what their social status is in the society. The oppressed and those battling with inferiority complex issue were delivered. Today many could correctly handle things. A value for life is everything.
I learned how to after my community and environment with the little that i have. I must not complain that i have nothing instead i can give both human and non human. I have realized that what seems unusable things would make deep meaning and relevance for others. Therefore no room to withhold anything.
The experience has build my capacity in showing care and love to the less privileged.
