This is a yearly event commonly celebrated amongst the Christendom. It normally comes immediately after the forty days prayer and fasting which the last thursday before Easter is called Maundy Thursday, the Friday becomes good Friday while the Sunday is commemorated as the eater Sunday.
One thing is pivotal in the celebration of Easter which is the remembrance of Christ's resurrection from the death. It's said to be a moment that Jesus Christ resurrected from the grave. He promised that he will die and in three days resurrect again which makes great meaning to the christian faithfuls.
Early in the morning, many went to their various places of worship to thank God for another Easter, for being alive and renew their relationship with God for a more fruitful years ahead. After the Sunday service, there was an exchange of love via food stuff, greetings, etc then children stroll to greet elders around. This has been the tradition over the years in Africa.
Last year I wasn't at home to celebrate with family instead I was away for my passion which is humanitarian services. I was in a remote village where network was quite a challenge and lives were really touched and transformed.
Easter plays an integral part as far as the christian faith is concerned because the entire message focuses on Jesus.
One of the pillars of christian faith is easter which is the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This resurrection implies a lot of things such as since being buried and the new life is a a life of holiness and righteousness. The resurrection of Jesus Christ gave them power to do the unusual and to demonstrate same power which was also in Christ Jesus.
This celebration is always remarkable and unforgettable experience because many christians honour more than the Christmas.
It's not all about celebration of Easter alone but coincidentally when I checked my calendar as I was trying to drop this post, I discovered it was my dad and mum 51 years of marriage anniversary. I was so amazed.
This is a challenge laid for me if my parents could live such numbers of years to go hmmm it means my small years in marriage haven't started I need God's grace to continue.
Last year same time all of us congregated to celebrate their fifty years anniversary and behold it's fifty one already. They have really lived a selfless life and dedication both to God and humanity. The large space of challenge they've created can only be occupied by a highly capacitated individual which daily we crave for such grace.
Over the years, they have been able to train more than fifty people across different families, religion and other affiliations etc that are reciprocating same to their world today. Their lives has become an example that even the communards learns from and keep testifying.
The marriage was blessed with six children but two are late now while the remaining four are gallantly married also blessed with children. Wow these parent's nomenclature has metamorphosed to granny now.
Sometimes I watch how many come around to tap the secret of life, longevity etc from them while others covet for more blessings for prosperity and making impact in their world.
Yesterday I shared a double celebration in my post and never knew that today would be double as well sincerely. What a coincidence. The two events are memorable and worth celebrating always as long as we have life.
Once again Happy Easter and wedding anniversary to many others out there.
