The long awaiting season is before us. A season where everyone has a reason to smile and celebrate as the remembrance of Jesus Christ birth. It's been a consistent tradition amongst young and old. The season is characterized by giving of different kinds, sharing of love and care to one another and also to the destitute. Everyone shows love and concern according to capacity and God's provision over an individual's life.
When I stumbled on the theme for the first edition, I was so excited because it gives me the opportunity to share how I intend to spend this Christmas season personally and with others. Kindly follow me as I share the activities and plans I have as far this 2023 season is concerned. I'm not the type that is actually after too much of celebration but it won't be out of context if I have a plan for the beautiful holiday. Here are some of the mapped out plan
- Well, over the years there's a plan I have consistently been doing during Christmas season like this. I like to be in door in other to have quality time of reflection over the goodness and the mercies of the Lord over my life. God has been faithful to me. I intend to have my solitude moment where I can be off from distraction especially on the Christmas day. Other things I could do during this solitude moment includes reading of books,prayers, singing songs and meditation.
- One of the plans I have is to pray and counsel some people as I visit them. There are so many people that I couldn't see throughout the year due to tight schedules. I will use this season to check on them and ensure that they are doing great.
- It been a while I went on sight seeing. I'll go to the mountains and checkout the work of nature. This kind of experience normally refreshes one. I'll ensure that I take some snapshots at strategic points.
- Another plan is to share some gifts especially to children. I will get some children materials and not just material but other things like freebies, biscuits, etc.
- One of my greatest passion in life is to ensure that the community is properly reached out. I intend to have community development services where I will pay back to the society with the little I have such food, money , drugs and clothing. This has been an integral part of my life pursuit. A rural area will be sampled for this kind of reach out and I'll throw it open for others to send in their contribution in their own way.
- I'll also take out time to check on the parents because it's been a while. Get some little things for them to enjoy the moment and pray for them.
CONCLUSION
Christmas season is a time of refreshing and demonstrating practically the love of Christ to the globe. You can share anything you have. Some time people mind is bent on money alone as the gift one can offer but advice or idea could also be a gift. Think of something that you can offer no matter how small or big it is. This can put a smile on someone's life.
