Most of my photography is candid street photography. I have photographed landscapes, seascapes, portraits etc and still do from time to time however my main passion is street. Sometimes though I struggle to find interesting images. I can walk for hours and come back with nothing I like.
When I feel i have lost some inspiration I like to change subject matter to look for a spark. Many years ago I would spend many hours driving round industrial parks looking for interesting images. Usually lines, shapes and colour, often forming abstract images. Recently when I was not happy with what I was producing on the street I decided to go to an industrial estate and drive round. I saw the shadows on this building and stopped to take some shots. I had taken a couple before I noticed the bra hanging on the fence. Something unexpected right in front of me. This how it often happens walking the streets of a city, unexpectedly somebody does something interesting in front of you.
A got a lot of pleasure from making this image and next time I went out onto the city street I went with a different frame of mind - I had found some inspiration again.
