It was my son 2nd visit, and both my wife and daughter 1st visit. This place gave me alot of nostalgic feeling of my school days. 😇😇. Almost everything here looks exactly same as 20 over years ago.

We walked towards the main building to buy our entrance ticket 🎫🎫 first.

To my surprised, adult ticket 🧑🏻 🎫🎫 cost MYR2 only while children age below 12 is FREE 🆓🆓😱😱 (foreigner cost MYR15). These ticket rates was still the same as 20 over years ago!! My goodness! I even asked the lady at the counter!! I know it owned by state government but the place need maintenance and even other places' ticket 🎫🎫 cost far than this😰😰. Oh well... what can I say... 😕😕

So off we went to the main building first. Upon entering it, we immediately greeted with the magnificent sight of the huge whale bone 🐋! 😲😲 (Don't mind me! Its my first time seeing it 😅😅) Everyone around us were so excited! 🤩🤩🤩

The sign said "NO PHOTO TAKING ALLOWED" 🚫📸 but nobody seems to bother at all. 🤪🤪 Not even the security guards 👮🏼‍♂️👮🏼‍♂️... 🤭😅😅.

We really spent quite long time looking at the bone. I felt like the very first time I saw dinosaur bone 😍😍🤩🤩 It so exciting!! Anyway we started off with traditional costume section after that. This section displaying all the major ethnic people costume in Sabah, North Borneo.

Next we entered the 'Natural History Gallery' which exhibit all natural stuff from plants 🌿☘️🍀, to insects🦂🦋🐜🕷️, to animals🐒🦧🐗🦏🦦. My son was more caught up in this. 😲😲 He really took his time looking at everything 1 by 1 and was so focused 🧐🧐.

I finally learned an insect name which I hated most 😡🤬🤬 and really stamped into my head because of all the bad smell from it. Its the 'Whip Scorpion' 🦂🦂 It always sneaked into my room. There was once it sprayed its acetic smell to my hand 😖😖🤢 when I swept it away while I was sleeping at night. No thought its actually part of scorpion species at all.

And finally reached the 'Cultural Houses'. Few of the houses 🏡🏡🏡were built on top of the lake which connected to the pond at the draw bridge 🌉 What a surprise!! Water Lilies blooming!! 😲😍🌸🌸🌸🌸. Men! What a blessing! 😇😇Its really hard to catch up to such period and we were just on the right timing. My kids were so excited to see it.
