Nowadays majority of the young generation doesn't even have the skills of woodworking, plumbing, sewing and more... 🤦♂️🤦♂️ School doesn't teach such living skills anymore🔨🛠️🔩⛏️⚒️🗜️🧰 because it turned into full academic centric. Unlike older days before mid 90's, its part of the subject. As for me, I comes with many many skills in hand.
So for this house moving, I took this opportunity to get my son doing something. Assembling the ikea furnitures!! 😆😆😆
I taught him the proper skill on hammering. 🔨🔨 It may look simple but its not.... 😁😁 I remembered my grandma 🧓🔨 taught me to hammer 3 inches nail with 5-6 hits. At first my son was struggling with 20 nails.... slowly he got a hang with it.
He helped me assembled a wardrobe, a bookcase, and a glass cabinet. 😁😁👍🏽👍🏽 He was so happy with his achievement.
That's what people always says, "teach them while they still young".
