Absolutely amazing the amount of wild turkeys on our mountain in Upstate NY. It seems every time I venture out to our general store for the basics, like milk, I see these awesome, big birds meandering about in the corn fields.
They are so big it baffles me how they have survived the hunters.
We live in a place that everyone hunts for wild prey. Like deer, grouse and turkey. It's our way of life.
It's what we do for sustainability. Everyone in my neck of the woods grows their own vegetables, has chickens for eggs, and trades with each other for goods and services.
When someone needs help with fixing a barn or bringing in the hay from the field, it's a party. It's what we do, and love every minute of it.
We connect, share our bounty and never forget we are in this together.
That's the way I hope #hive will evolve. I was so disappointed with the way steemit went. I felt a connection, I made friends and felt really happy sharing our life experiences.
But greed got in the way, I was so disillusioned that I was ready to give up.
Then came #hive...
Is it a turkey? We will see.
Will hive survive, or will the hunters win...
Big bad birds...
OR FEATHERED FRIENDS...
It's on the horizon, we can see it, if we look.
Community is our life line, share it, embrace it go for the gold.
This field is not gloomy, it's teeming with life.
You just have to look beyond the blur...
