In my neck of the woods in Upstate NY, THE COVID -19 VIRUS is still at bay. We live in a small town, our population here is about 536 residents.
Most are farmers that raise cattle, pigs, chickens and horses. Most of us own large pieces of land, hence, the low population with a lot of square miles.
Just the way we planned it. We love our privacy. We can do just about anything we like on our big piece of dirt. We enjoy growing our own food, with no pesticides, fungicides or insecticides.
We have built our own pond, filled with the fish we like to catch. We have natural springs that fill our water supply. We heat our home with dead wood, which in turn allows us to control our forest, and replant the trees which will give us lumber to build.
This was always our plan, to become self sustaining. Not just for us in our retirement, but for our children and grand children.
We always joked about "if the commies pushed the button down" we would be ready.
Well it seems today with this awful "virus" and the unemployment rate sky rocketing, it my not be the "commies" but our own government here in the USA that causes us our demise.

If so, we are ready, our freezer is full of food still from last years harvest, and the growing season is approaching, we have the seeds, which I harvest every year for the next season. So important in my book, without seeds, you cannot grow food.
After 911, our mantra with our family has been, if the shit hits the fan, GO TO THE FARM.
I pray things don't ever get that bad. My children have been well educated, have jobs and family of their own and are doing pretty well.
But who knows, I sure don't.
I know one thing for sure, we will survive.
Even with the cloudy skies, life is beautiful.
In black and white, all the scares of life will dissolve into beautiful
pictures as we travel though this thing called life...as mother #nature sees fit.
Be prepared.
