IBM Files Patent for a Blockchain-Based Web Browser - CoinDesk

Google better watch out. There's blood in the water and the inherent browser oligopoly (monopoly...?) is on the verge of getting disrupted.

IBM's entry into this space is intriguing, although not unexpected given their growing fascination in blockchain overall. But blockchain does give them a chance to challenge the establisehd status quo on a whole new playing field.

The patent describes a peer-to-peer network for managing and storing browsing session data.
