It’s that time of the month when Hiveans rush to power up their Hive. Newbies and oldies who believe in the future of Hive blockchain know the importance of powering up regularly.

Why Power Up at all? Because it makes sense. The bigger your Hive Power, the bigger your influence on Hive blockchain. When you want to vote on your favourite posts, you need HP for your vote to leave a monetary mark. Consecutively, whenever you vote, half of your vote value comes back to your wallet. That’s why Powering Up Hive matters.

While posting regual, high quality articles is of most importance to add value to Hive blockchain as well as earn rewards, the importance of curation rewards can not be underestimated. It’s that magical money that lands in your wallet while you sleep - a true passive income.

Before that income becomes passive, some activity has to be completed and Powering Up your Hive is that needed activity.

While I Power Up my hive on (somewhat) regular basis by posting and curating, the Power Up Day is one of my favourite ways of doing it, because on that day many other Hiveans do exactly the same and it feels like a celebration day, after which we receive a new badge of the size appropriate to our power up.

So far, since my start of posting here at the end of October 2022, I collcted 9 of those badges, although only 8 out of 9 this year. I missed May’s PUD, due to sleeping all day and today I could easily do the same, except that I can’t, cause it won’t let me sleep 😂

This month will be my first when I play my little role in #HPUD by sponsoring lucky numbers 7 and 27 with 1HSBI Unit each to the winners. I’m excited and curious who I will be sending the prizes to!

Right, without making this post longer than it needs to be, and so I can get back to sleep, let’s jump to the act. I transferred some of my Hive from my alt to main to make a nice round Power Up of 100 Hive to catch up for my slacking during the month.
