Hello my beautiful people of #ExperienciasFinDeSemana I hope you have a rich weekend today I will write to you about the initiative created by @galenkp of the following topic: If you could change one thing about someone close to you who is it, what would you change and why?
I do not believe that any human being has so much power to change the life of another person that would be too inflate our ego and is that many times we think that change should always be dictated by our expectations for our beliefs or what we think is right and good and not the beliefs and expectations of others that is something very selfish And if it is very clear that we can influence the lives of friends, family and partner giving them advice and recommendations, but we must also understand that no person will change because selo ask or selo demand he or she will change the day they want to change
I quit smoking many years ago and I did it not because someone asked me to, I did it because I realized that if I continued smoking it would cause serious damage to my health and I wanted to set a good example to my children. I realized that if I quit smoking I would probably regain more energy and maybe gain some years of life, but there are always little things and behaviors that one would like the other to improve, but it is not the responsibility of the other person to change to make us happy, nobody changes just because we think we are special, there must be a compelling reason in that person to decide to change for the benefit or possible loss of something he loves as long as it is not with blackmail because all women have the false idea that we can change the life of a man, the vast majority say I change him and that is a total lie, we can influence his life, but in the end the change is only in his hands.
What advice would you give to someone who is in an abusive relationship and why?
My grandmother used to say that the best advice is the one that is asked for not the one that is given because whoever asks for advice is open to receive help and it is that in an abusive relationship is disguised with many masks is like a roller coaster of emotions one day you can be apparently well and from one moment to another arise both physical and psychological aggressions and is that the person who suffers the aggressions seems to live with a blindfold on his eyes and it is as they say love is blind, but maybe it is not love if not toxic attachment fear of being alone maybe because in childhood they were abandoned and fear the pain of loneliness the best thing to do is to talk to family and friends for help because it is very difficult to get out of this kind of relationship because it becomes a loop and it is sad, but if we allow the abuse to continue and we do not set limits over time is escalating we could become a number in a file.
