A familiar image of everyday life emerges in front of the red brick two-story building on the village's side of the road. When the last light of the afternoon spreads over the surrounding trees, this small but lively rural market sits on the side of the road. There are no shiny and modern shopping malls like in the city, but the pull of our roots is hidden in its simple environment.

The image of the market is very simple and natural. Retailers have spread polythene or jute bags on the ground with their fresh vegetables. Fresh green vegetables, raw chilies, local lemons, potatoes and fresh ginger are beautifully arranged on the polythene. Some vendors are waiting for customers with their stalls in vans. This red-green color of the stalls without any artificial arrangement gives the whole environment a strangely lively look.

It is not just the products that are sold here. The market is like a meeting place for villagers. After the busy work, many people, from the elderly to the young, come here in the afternoon. Some wear lungis and fatuas, while others wear crisp white Punjabis and caps, looking for the family market. Along with shopping, there is an exchange of greetings and various stories of daily life. Some elderly people are standing next to vans and bargaining, while others are chatting with old acquaintances.

The posters hung on the electricity poles on the side of the road remind us that although time has moved on a bit, the simple appearance of the village is still the same as before. This combination of these brick and stone buildings and the market smelling of earth under the open sky carries the daily traditions of rural Bengal.

Here, there is the clamor of bargaining, there is a chatter of smiles and there is immense sincerity. The scene of this unartificial rural market reminds us that the main address of peace outside the mechanical life actually lies in our always familiar rural Bengal.
